An overview of Medieval Europe
Medieval Europe or the Middle Ages was the era between the fall of Rome in 476 C.E and the Renaissance in the 14th century. The fall of Rome made a big impact on the western world and with no single religion or government, Europe ultimately converted to Christianity. Europe was governed by a type of hierarchy where the king was at the top and ruled Europe, this was called feudalism. Medieval Europe was a cruel era where a lot of blood was shed and people died from disease. In Medieval Europe, not many people knew how to read or write and were poorly educated, most of these people were slaves. Slaves were mostly farmers and life in rural areas was very tough. They were ruled by the Lord of the village and worked very hard. In the Middle Ages, there were games like jousts and tournaments as entertainment for villages and Kings.
